2025 Ghostwrite NBA Game Face Blind Box
Blind Box Math
Blind box ghosts are what we call â100%â size â 2.75â tall x 1.125â wide. They are sold in âblind boxesâ, which means you wonât know which NBA player you get until you open the box.Â
Here are the key stats:
- Cases produced = 1,648
- ghosts per case = 12
- Players in the set = 20
- Rookies in the set = 2
- Prospects in the set = 1 (a ghostwrite first!)
- Famous Fans in the set = 1
- Player parallels = 6
- Inserts = 5
- Total unique ghost designs = 146
- Average hits per case = 1
Blind box ghosts operate almost identically to trading cards â hence the trading card terminology above like âparallelâ, âinsertâ, ârookieâ, and âhitâ. If youâre a card collector, you know these words well, and you also probably understand the experience. When designing this product, it was that experience that weâve tried to replicate â like chasing the 1/1 of your favorite rookie!
But there is one important difference between cards and ghosts. Well, two important differences, if you count the fact that ghosts are 3-dimensional. In a typical trading card set, pretty much every player in the league is included. But for 3-dimensional blind box toys, itâs impossible to make a set with hundreds of different players. For our NBA 2025 collection, we had to narrow it down to twenty players, plus one famous fan â Eminem.
The list of NBA players included in this collection was locked in shortly after the 2025 NBA draft. Is our list perfect? No, not even close. But as set lists go, this one is pretty stacked.
